Purchased several brands of shoes for my son when he was first learning to walk. Started off with Target (Jack & Jill brand) but the soles were too stiff & he had a hard time walking. Then I did some research & learned that the sole should be soft/flexible for toddlers for healthy foot development (so why do they sell rigid type shoes??) so I bought a pair of Stride Rite shoes, since those seem to be the gold standard (used, as I could not bring myself to spend that much money on something he will outgrow so quickly). But those didn’t fit his chunky feet well, specifically the tops of his feet & cankles. I had resorted to him just being barefoot when a friend recommended these & they changed the game! He doesn’t try to pull them off, they fit his fat little feet well & aren’t too tight AND he walks like a boss baby in them, better than any of the other pairs of shoes we’ve tried so far. Not to mention they were the cheapest of all the brands I purchased. To include used Adidas & Stride Rite.These run true to size for him, though I feel like my son may have small feet? He’s 26 lbs & wears size 2T & 3T clothing but seems to be a size 4 or 4.5 in shoes. All the shoes I had previously purchased for him, in the brands I listed above, are a size 5 & while they’re too tight at his ankles, they’re too big in length. But these fit great in the 12 month old size group.Highly recommend.
